Alex's new job.

The Search
Alex was home for a total of three weeks after his last day as an Aztec employee. He was very diligent at searching for a job every morning, every day after that. The first week at home, even though I was really exited to have him full time, It blew. He was very overwhelmed and worry about what our future would look like and did not wanted to be bothered with the "you should.." Second week went much better and he was slowly getting more positive ones he saw how many opportunities where out there for his type of job. He started going to all the church employment seminars and really got his time worth out of them being able to learn some interviewing skills and sharping up his resume as well. I have to say that he did not sit around waiting for a job. For the first time in his life he searched, pursued and found one all by himself which made me very proud.

The Job
Most of you got an email from Alex and know what the new job is all about, but, for those who don't Alex will be working for the University of Colorado in the Fitzsimmons Campus that is in Aurora next to the Children's Hospital. This is a sort of hospital/university and he will be doing Help Desk Support which pretty much involves everything he was doing before but in a bigger scale.

What We Expect
Well, the most important thing for us at this point is first, Health Insurance and second, Make the mortgage payments. His salary wont be that great for a while so we will exploring new horizons when it comes to live to the necessary and save as much as we can. I know we can do it, in fact, we have gotten already so much better than we used to. It will still be a huge challenge but we have been through worst situation and have made it through. I heard some where that "there are things we can't control (my personal best example is: the health of our child) the ones that we can, WE SHOULD!"

I now that Alex is a hard worker and that he has many skills. I feel confident that he will be appreciated in this new job and that he will make himself a very valuable employee.

So.... May the journey begin!
