So here is the story. Monday night around 10.30pm Alex and I are hanging out in the living room. He turns on the news and we find out that there was a tornado storm warning and Lakewood was right on the center of it! He opens the front door and notices that yes, its cloudy and a little windy outside. Nothing out of the ordinary. We go upstairs and get ready for bed. Go into our bed room and all of the sudden our home is being bombed by hail. So loud and so strong that our kids woke up. We never ever had experienced a hail storm that strong. I literally thought that the windows were going to brake. We gathered up our kids and headed downstairs again and Alex begun to clear up the closet so that we could get to the cross space for refuge. At that point I was freaking out!!!! Never in my life had to live any place where I needed to look out for nature forces, so, it was a little scary. Alex was taking all his computer stuff out the closet and I was telling him "hurry, the floor is shaking!!!" Well, the floor wasn’t shaking, it was me.
We got down there and waited for about 3 to 4 minutes and the storm finally started to slow down. We never saw a tornado but it did touch ground very close by. Anyway, laugh now but man was that scary. We hope now that storms like that don’t find Denver again for loooong long years.
The end.

Gumball size hail.

Wow! You guys got nailed! Crazy. The funnel cloud touched down in Englewood, where we are, and we scrambled out of bed and into the basement to the tune of the tornado sirens going off. Yikes! The next day, Camden interrogated each of us at least fifty times: "Why you waked me up last night and taked me to the basement?!"
