Every year Alex and I feel very guilty about not doing anything special for Lil Alex's Birthday. That happens to be December 29th and by that time we feel too tired, stress out and out of money to do anything special. Well, we figured he is old enough now to really enjoy a b-day party so, we invited his closest friends and celebrated his half b-day at the park. And of course, it was the hottest day of the year so far! We felt nervous that even the playground would be too hot to play in and decided to get some squirt guns! Oh boy was that fun!

Alex wanted a Mario themed cake. Where was I gonna find that?! So, we went to Costco and found this dinosaur cake. I told him it could be Yoshi from the super mario games and he was pretty happy with that.

Cute pictures! the half-birthday idea is saving me - last year was so much better since I didn't have to do a birthday party (or two!) in December. Summer is such a better time to have a party - much more fun things to do!
